Stoney Acres Electric Inc. was founded on January 1, 2015, with a commitment to quality and service built from years of experience in the trades. Raised in the family-owned collision repair business with my father and grandfather, I was always around hands-on work. While my father tried to steer me away from the collision trade and into the construction industry, it was this environment that sparked my passion for skilled work and a strong work ethic.

Throughout high school and college, I worked for a small electrical contractor in the Hale area, gaining valuable experience. After graduating, I pursued further education at Delta Community College through night classes while continuing to work during the day. Upon completing my degree, I was accepted into the IBEW Local 692 Apprenticeship, where I expanded my knowledge in the commercial and industrial electrical fields. From working on the Karn Power Plant in Essexville, MI, to projects at schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings, I gained a wide range of experience. During this time, I always knew I wanted to eventually own and operate my own business.

In the fall of 2014, after the birth of our first child, Brooke, and the passing of my grandfather, Ernie Provoast, I made the life-changing decision to start Stoney Acres Electric. With my father's support, we established the business on a property in Whittemore, MI, where a new shop was built to house our operations. We shared office space with my father’s business, combining our customer bases and laying the foundation for Stoney Acres Electric.

By the summer of 2020, our growing business outgrew our original location, and we moved to a new, larger shop in Whittemore. Over the years, we’ve expanded our capabilities to include three service trucks and a variety of owned equipment to better serve our customers.

Our focus has always been on delivering prompt, professional service, with a commitment to building strong customer relationships. As a small, family-owned company, we take pride in offering a friendly, personal touch alongside the highest standards of workmanship.

Since our founding in 2015, Stoney Acres Electric has continued to grow, and we are honored to serve our community with premier electrical services for both residential and commercial needs.
